From 5202 Griggs to Houston Texans YMCA

Priscilla Graham leads us on a tour through the facility and history of the Houston Texans YMCA. Dedicated to Quentin R. Mease and honoring his legacy as well as many others, Graham discusses the rich history of this and other YMCAs in Houston from Mohammed Ali, to desegregation, the Astrodome, and up to current programs and members. She points out how this Y in particular displays and honors the service of community leaders whose support for the Y has been passed down over generations.

"History is made and lives through people, not organizations. Organizations are merely vehicles one uses to make history."

Priscilla T. Graham is currently the President/CEO of HELP, Inc. and former Community Executive Director of the Houston Texans YMCA. Priscilla is a results-oriented professional with more than 18 years of progressive accomplishments in donor cultivation, board development, fiscal management, program development, department and facility management.

Priscilla credits her success to God, family and faith.  After 6 years of service in the United States Army and graduating from Texas Southern University in 1997, she embarked upon her current journey of "changing lives that can change the world" by providing awareness and positive opportunities for young people to experience success.

Her passion for servant leadership was born in 1994 out the words of Congresswoman Shelia Jackson Lee "Too often when people need us the most, we give them our worst!"
